With Ears Wide Open

Hello again and welcome back to a new post for this week. To be honest I was trying figure out what to title the post. So it hit me to title it, ” With Ears Wide Open”.

I guess it’s the little voice inside me telling me to listen. So let me share with you a passage on seeking advice and being attentive to it. Proverbs 16: 2 – 3. The reason that I’m sharing this passage is because today I spent some time with my single’s ministry leader on a particular area of my life and encourage me to continue to seek advice first through God ( sharing my desires to Him ) and secondly counting on him as my advice partner.

It’s amazing how God uses people in our life to counsel, teach and remind us to put God first so that we may walk closer with HIM and in the process learning to keep our Ears Wide Open to hear God’s answers through those individuals that genuinely want the best for us in every aspect of our lives.

In conclusion: I for one thing will as the scripture states,”v3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do., and your plans will succeed.” Let’s share our plans with our Lord and those willing to help us so that in the process bring a smile to our AWESOME GOD!

The question: Will you do the same and seek advice? what will you do?

Today I wanted to write about our first mid-week service of 2010. Honestly it’s been close to a year now since I moved to the North Region here in Los Angeles and I’ve gotten to build up some really wonderful friendship in the ministry here. Our theme for this year as I shared about it in my previous posts is, “Live Christ “.

One thing that I really took from this mid-week as our single’s ministry leader preached on, was, How Much Do You Thirst For God. If you can click on Psalm 63: 1-8 and read it I hope that it impacts your heart as much as it moved mine.

If you really think about it after reading the psalm’s quoted its very amazing on how God shows us an example of the intensity of David’s devotion towards God and on how he felt his need, his thirst to for Him and aimed his thoughts on God.

I would like to finish this post off by reminding you that apart from Christ we can do nothing. Let’s keep our thirst for Christ and God alive in us always as we continue to remain in Christ each days of our lives. ” Live Christ “

Hello every one again. I’m back and wanted to share a little bit about this sunday’s teaching. The main point that I took from the message this Sunday and what I felt God was telling me was. Have I given my totally heart to God and surrender everything to Him. It was challenging but good I loved it.

Even though I was translating the service from English to Spanish I was able to grasp alot of the scriptures. The main ones that were shared were these: The Parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10: 25 – 37. Now here in these passages we can learn so much of the 3 types of hearts that certain people had.

I for one thing was convicted but also want to share that I do know in my heart that I need to work on more being even more loving specially in the area of speaking to others in truth even if it means that others will not like it and also for myself learning to accept the advice given to me and not justifying myself like the character in the bible.

Other scriptures shared were Luke 10:27 which talks about loving God with all your heart, etc.. and Revelations 2: 1 – 5 which talk also about being Hot or Cold for God which was amazing because it refreshes me as to not to forget that God needs to be my first love in my life over all.

In the end I believe as Ron the preacher said. When we learn to Love God we will also learn to love our neighbors and when our connection with him deepens our understanding of the character of Christ heart for our lives and how we need to live in order to have hearts that feel genuine sympathy for our fellow neighbors.

Truelly amazing how God cares for me and other. Hope you enjoy these scriptures and do your best to apply them. As for me I know I will do my best to put into practice anything that will please God and putting him first in my life. I will post up a link to the sermon once its online. Have an awesome day!

Hey’ welcome back to my blog here. It’s actually my 2nd post and I’m feeling pretty excited and thankful to have come up with the this title. So far this year, the main theme that we are focusing on in the ministry here is ” Live Christ ” and followed by, Colossians 2:6 which says, So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, 7rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

After hearing yesterday’s goals and expectations from Joe’s and Gary’s enthusiastic hearts, I just could not help myself today in my quiet time asking God to help me to mold me into a more prudent and humble man to do his biding and yeah sometimes it may seem hard but with Christ we can do anything.

I don’t know about you and where you are now in your life with God but I want to encourage you to make this year a year where your prayer time and walk with God will be at a more personal level. So let’s make some echos in the spiritual world through Christ and ask him to teach us and refine us during this month of january.

Today’s after my quiet time, I made a decision to call a really good friend of mine and confessed things that I had from last month because I feel that by doing that I will purify my heart and God will be able to use me in a more powerful way to do his biding. Here are a few scriptures that I constantly come to and ask God to help me with, I want to share them with you: Hebrews 12: v2 , Psalm 37, Psalm 103, John 8:31 – 32, Romans 12: 1 – 3, John 13:34,
I just want to encourage to pray and read and open your life to those close to you and let us make Echos in the Eternity of our lives. Have an awesome day! YBIC – Louie

It was in the month of august 25th at about 3:30 pm as I stood in front of a circle of people which I didn’t quite know yet personally. We all stood in front of Santa Monica’s Beach. The sun was shining, the wind blowing and waves were calmed.

I don’t know what the people around me were thinking of or if they noticed that the beach water’s as I did. What I did noticed as I looked around was seeing their faces filled with smiles and wonder. I just couldn’t help it but I was nervous and yet excited at the same time.

Filled with emotions but with a certainty that I had made the most important decision of my entire life. I was about to make an echo in my eternity. Which I didn’t quite understand the repercussion of it quite yet.

All I knew was that I had made the decision to follow in the footsteps of the son of God himself,Jesus and I was making him the Lord of my entire life. Surrounded by people I did not yet know except for the 4 of which I had had the priveledge to study God’s word.

After waiting for a few other witness to arrive and moments away to the most important questions I had ever been asked. I eagerly waited for the questions but also heard encouraging words of people of how they had seen my heart and life change through out my studies of God’s Word.

As Emeric, Gus, Alfredo and Adolfo which were there and stood near me. I was asked by one of them that took the lead, ” Do you Luis believe that Jesus is the son of God came to this earth, live in the flesh and spirit, planted his ministry, died on the cross and was raised to life on the 3rd day “, ” Yes I do” I replied….” What is your good confession? “, “Jesus is Lord”, I replied.
With your good confession I may now baptize you in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, all your sins will be forgiven and will be added into the Kingdom of God.

After making my good confession I was then baptized totally submerged in the waters of Santa Monica Beach brought back into a new life with all my sins totally forgiven. I had made an Echo in my eternity and this is how my real life began in 1996 of August 25 at my age of 23. I had made an Echo into my Eternity.

Welcome To My Blog and where I will share about my life in Christ and of the family of believers. I hope you like it. Amen!
